ZO-BLOK: Takeover of EPP processor SSW PearlFoam / Former Fagerdala becomes Polish
Since its insolvency unter the former name Fagerdala, SSW PearlFoam has been part of SSW Industries (Bergisch Gladbach / Germany;www.sswindustries.com), whose shareholders are also invested into HP Pelzer (Witten / Germany; www.pelzer.de). With 200 employees, the company produces moulded EPP parts, particularly for the automotive industry. Its portfolio encompasses safety-related parts, interior and functional parts, seat components and load carriers for logistics containers.
At the same time as the acquisition, Izo-Blok announced a bulk order of moulded EPP parts from HP Pelzer. The order volume amounts to EUR 8m over the next seven years.
The Polish components supplier is operating four plants in Poland, whose output is mainly targeted at the automotive industry and of which 90 percent are exported. In the business year 2014/2015, Izo-Blok has generated a turnover of PLN 80.5m (EUR 18.4m) and an EBITDA of PLN 11.7m. In the last three years, both sales and profit have doubled.
