Next Iranian President and the Plastics Businesses Holdup!: According to the announcements, tomorrow May 15h 2017, at the “IME” hall the number of 3 types of LDPE, 5 types of HDPE and 2 types of PP will be exposed for buyers. But, what really will happen, no one knows, because of the disputes over the presidential elections. The only thing that is obvious is the ever greatest holdup in all sectors of the polymer business. In fact, every single investor is waiting for the result of the Friday’s election result. This short analysis have a look at this.
The opponents of President Rouhani believe that they can create 600.000 jobs per 1 million tons of polymer production. The pro president groups call these figures imaginary and joke and having no coincidence in any parts of the world. But let us have a closer look at what’s happening?
Today is Sun. May 14th and we have 5 days more to the elections. The PIMI team believe that the present President would be the next President as well, and when this will happen and approved, we will see a very highly polished and very well lubricated rails for the next 4 years wagons of the President Rouhani that is travelling on it as fast as possible. If this will not happen, then Iran and the business sector will face with a new troublesome world, which can expect any world war at any time. We, here at PIMI don’t believe it and so are waiting for a more wiser world. The figures tell us the same and let’s have a look at it:
Today was the decision making day and announcement of the prices of the Iranian made polymers for the next coming week including what that will be announced as the new supply of diverse polymer plants in Iran for tomorrow and Tuesday. However, the news agencies dependent to the associations and also the National Iranian Plastics Association started their news by sending the price pulses to the “Price Committee Assembly”. First of all they predicted that: Because of the decreasing of the GPS by 30 US$, so it is expected that the base price for GPS would be about US$ 1350, which shows about 1100 Rials (almost 4 cents) decrease in price announcements. Also it is expected that due to decreasing prices of the film grade of HDPE, the prices of this material should be about 1106 US$ (39.550.56 Rials per ton). However,when the prices were announced, it was shown that all polymer prices, irrespective of their family, grade and quality have faced with reduced prices.
This shows that tomorrow’s deals at the IME hall would be a heaven for those brokers who have enough cash in their bank accounts or office safes for purchasing of polymers with the lowest possible prices. But why this is the case?
The case is like this and on behalf of brokers because many people within the business area in Iran are in doubt of the name of the selected president on Friday.
In our opinion, President Rouhani would be the next president and so, even the gambling and betting are both prohibited in Islam, but those who have gambled over President Rouhani would be the winners.
So far many businesses are in holdup position and the situation for the polymer industry is worse than all of them, but we believe that a day or more the Iranian business people should learn that how to disintegrate their business from the politics.
