Today, Dec. 7th 2015, at the VDMA conference in Tehran, among so many activities at the workshops and at the main conference hall, the only important point which attracted many guests and participants was part of the speech of the top adviser of the Ministry of IMT:”Our new generation is forgetting the German technology!!”. Before any interpretation, we invite our readers to focus on the following photos of the German delegation and the rows behind them:
Anybody which has no information about what they were hearing, may guess that the speech has been boring to them, or they have been sleepy due to a long flight to Tehran landed at about 4 am. But, this was not the case. If you specifically focus on the top left hand side photo, you can see a great industrialist like Mr. Reifenhauser which has seen so many turbulence in his business, or Mr. Wienkamp which has about 4 decades of international activities at his personal CV have both put their hands under their chin and are thinking and looking to the words of the top adviser of Mr. Nematzadeh (IMT Minister). None of them and even the organizer himself, didn’t know that just before his speech, he may have had a phone call: Dr. I can’t convince MPs and I think I am finished. We think at the time of this amazing speech, no one at the conference hall knew that the ITM Minister is showing documents to Iranian Parliament members and is defending himself in order to prevent receiving his second yellow card; A new arrangement like the football games at the Iranian Parliament in order to say good bye to any Government’s official. Mr. Nematzadeh received his second yellow card today! which was the 16th of the present Government! Yes. The German delegate even didn’t think about it for a second that, the Iranian ITM Minster who turned to be a Germanophile politician after a cochlea operation in Germany, and the man who had opened many doors for the German refreshing business activities in Iran, is now warning the German industrialist by some few words from his top adviser mouth that: “Please hurry up”. The explanation which the next speaker, Ms. Rafiei had to make it clear: He meant- she said-“Germans should hurry up because the ques are long and may be the opportunity will finish” Was she really, herself, meant this, or she also knew that: The ministerial may would be finished very soon!
But, and apart from this short time theater, are the Iranians really going to forget the Germans and the German technology? No. We don’t think so. The German people have been part of the building up of the Iranian modern infrastructures. Their signs are scattered all over Iran. They have never invaded Iran, nor have tried to colonize the country, The “made by Germans” buildings, roads, huge Governmental buildings, railroads, technical schools… could never be forgotten. There is an Iranian proverb saying: “when someone is drowning, thinks that all the world are drowning!”
Many Iranians like all “made in German” and “made by Germans”, and so they never will come and go with ministers or governments.
All the rest of today’s VDMA conference, as a German principle, continued as per the agenda.
