For the first time, the TPU specialists of Huntsman will share a stand at K 2016 with Huntsman Tecnoelastomeri, a specialist for MDI-based hot cast elastomer systems and machinery, which became part of Huntsman in 2015 through the acquisition of the Italian systems house. Huntsman now has a broad portfolio of elastomers for all sectors from thermoplastic polyurethanes to hot cast solutions.
At the trade show, Huntsman Tecnoelastomeri will promote its Tecnothane polyurethane systems. One of the company’s Castech machines will be on display at the Huntsman stand, demonstrating how this equipment solution can be used to cast polyurethane elastomers and microcellular elastomer foams using all types of isocyanate and chain extender combinations. During a K preview at the end of June 2016 in Düsseldorf, the Huntsman Tecnoelastomeri team described how German company Raeder Vogel is using its Tecnothane systems to create a family of durable polyurethane wheels and castors for use in extreme industrial applications.
