An academician from the polymer side elected as MP

After semi verification of the votes given by the voting people of “Neyshabur“, Prof. “Hamid Garmabi” a Professor of Polymer Science & Technology and the Dean of the Faculty of Polymer Engineering and Colour Technology of Amir-Kabir University of Technology of Tehran, was elected as the candidate of “Neyshabur & Firoozeh” cities. Prof. Garmabi, a revolutionary polymer scientist received 75.324 votes from his birth pace city of “Neyshaboor”.
Election of Prof. Garmabi has been welcomed by so many plastics manufacturers and industrialists, associations and syndicates. Now, this important field of scientific and industrial sector of the Iranian polymer industry has a voice in the next Iranian Parliament and many students and industrialists feel that his election has increased the chances of this sector to be heard more in the Parliament.
Prof. Garmabi,(54) has a long background of research and educational activities in the field of polymer science & technology. He has more than 150 scientific ISI articles and 5 inventions registered in Iran. He has received his PhD from “Mc Gill” University and his last academic job was heading the “Department of Polymer Engineering and Colour Technology”.
