About Bausano & Figli:
The history of Bausano & Figli S.p.a. begins in 1946, when Clemente Bausano established the Costruzioni Meccaniche Clemente Bausano in Rivarolo Canavese, a small town 30 km far from Turin.
The company was established with the intention of producing twin screw extruders for plastics, in the post-war period when great efforts were necessary to rebuild society and industry. It was in 1946 that the first Bausano extruder was completed, the TR model, with two penetrating and counter-rotating screws, the same methodf that was to be used in all the later machines.
In 1962 the Costruzioni Meccaniche Clemente Bausano was moved for reasons of space from the centre to the outskirts of Rivarolo where, after various extensions, the current headquarters are still located.
The legal status of the company also changed, and it took on its current name of Bausano & Figli S.p.a..
The company was joined by the founder’s two sons, Eraldo, Group chairman, and Livio, who was unfortunately killed in a plane crash in 1994.
In 1982 Bausano & Figli S.p.a. patented a revolutionary new transmission system, known as Multidrive, which uses not one but four motors per machine, with a completely redesigned gearbox which reduced by a quarter the torque effort of each motor and gear wheel, with enormous advantages in terms of the durability and performance of the extruder.
As well as the twin screw extruders using Multidrive technology, Bausano & Figli S.p.a. has always supplied a complete series of complementary machines required in the extrusion process, from the calibration bench to the cooling bench, the take off to the cutter.
In 1993 Bausano & Figli S.p.a. was the first Italian company in the sector to obtain the ISO 9001 quality certification, further proof of the fact that all the stages in the production of the machines, from design through production to the after-sales service, are constantly monitored to guarantee quality levels at the highest level in the field.
In 1999 Bausano & Figli S.p.a. started the production of complete extrusion lines in Brazil through the 100% owned company Bausano do Brasil in order to serve the huge south american market and nowadays is by far the biggest extruders producers over there.
In 2011 Bausano & Figli S.p.a. has starded its operation in India, setting up a new company in joint venture with one of the best Indian extrusion lines manufactures: Rajoo Engineers Ldt.
Rajoo Bausano Extrusion Pvt. Ldt’s aim is to manufacture and market the Bausano’s full range of extrusion lines in India with the traditional Italian quality at an affordable price.

That is why the constant research for new products and applications, such as expanded materials, WPC profiles and sheets and multilayer, has allowed Bausano & Figli S.p.a. to hold a leading position in the market.
