2015 Investment results for PP and amp PVC

In 2015 investments into capacities for the polypropylene processing (PP) were reduced by 19% and made USD 132,4 mln. According to the Market Report company, in last year to Russia about 94 sets of the equipment were delivered. In the previous year 128 complete lines on USD163,8 mln were delivered.
The main decrease in investments concerned of producers of molding products (31 units for the sum of USD 17,2 mln against 67 for the total amount of USD 77 mln in 2014).
Purchases of the film equipment grew by 59,5% (to USD 97 mln). The gain of investments is caused by purchases of two lines on production of BOPP-films from WATERFALL PRO (http://waterfall-pro.ru/factory.php ).
In 2015 investments into the equipment on production of polypropylene pipes were reduced slightly – to USD 3,4 mln, in comparison with USD 3,6 mln in 2014.
Eight complete lines for the total amount of USD 3,8 mln were bought last year for production of threads and fibers. It is USD 0,6 mln less, than in 2014.
Also, in 2015 investments into capacities for processing of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) were reduced by 50% and made 40 million USD 11. According to the Market Report company, last year to Russia 142 sets of the equipment for PVC processing were delivered. In the previous year 232 complete lines on 79,5 million USD were delivered.
The main decrease in investments (30%) was the share of producers of the molding profiles – the biggest segment of processing of PVC.
The operating capacities for processing of PVC molding profiles in Russia superfluous, thus demand for this production is gradually reduced. In most cases the current investments fall on replacement of the outdated equipment whereas input of the new enterprises has single character.
The second for volumes of investment into processing of PVC is the sector of cable extrusion. In 2015 31 complete lines for the sum about 8 million USD were put, 32 complete lines were imported in the previous year.
Modern manufacturer of polypropylene film
The main task of the plant WATERFALL defense – providing food and processing industry in Russia-quality packaging material, as well as access to foreign markets to meet the growing demand for high quality BOPP film.
The plant will be two lines for 3-5-layer BOPP film width of 8.7 meters. High-tech production line of five-layer film will produce more than 40 different kinds of BOPP film.
Main uses of BOPP films: food packaging, non-food packaging, label production. BOPP films are also used in the manufacture of capacitors, adhesives, packaging and stationery tape.
