Demand for bio-based coatings is on the rise. Volumes of bio-based solvents are following a similar upward trajectory. The most important or largest outlet for bio-based solvents is paints, surface coatings and printing inks, with a 40% share. Experts forecast that Europe alone will account for 1 million tonnes by 2020 and will enjoy an annual average growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8% over the period 2015 to 2020 [“Bio-based coatings: Growth worldwide” by Damir Gagro, European Coatings]
This is why following the success of our inaugural Biobased Coatings Europe conference in June 2018 in Antwerp, we are excited to be hosting Biobased Coatings Europe 2019 on 19th & 20th June in Düsseldorf, Germany. By highlighting the sector’s current major challenges and opportunities it will provide a holistic outlook on market trends and drivers.
The 2nd annual conference will once again bring together senior executives and experts from the coatings industry, policy makers, consultants, technology innovators and leading market analysts to discuss the latest challenges and developments within the industry and engage in excellent networking opportunities.
