In the first five months of this Iranian calendar year of 1395 (started on March 21), more than 8,724,000 tons of different kinds of petrochemical products, worth more than $3.6 billion, was exported.
The exports are on the rise after the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and gradual removal of the banking barriers and other restrictions.
Just in Iranian month of Mordad (July 21-August 21), 1,859,000 tons of varying kinds of petrochemical products, worth more than 569 million dollars, found their way to the international markets.
Presently, the capacity for annual production of petrochemicals has reached 61 million tons and it will yet hit 120 million tons by the next nine years.
