Iran H1 Petchem Exports Hit $8.6b: Iran’s export of petrochemical products in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20 topped up by 22.4% from a year ago, hitting $8.698b.
Iran’s total foreign trade during the period stood at $42.14b of which over 8.5 billion dollars belonged to export of petrochemical products, a report by the Customs Administration of Iran said.
The report also said that petrochemical accounted for 40.7% of the country’s total non-oil exports during the period.
Export of other items than petrochemicals and gas condensate stood at 43.8% of the total exports, valued at $9.5b.
The report also said that Iran’s imports stood at $20.3b, down 2.61% year-on-year.
The imports included industrial raw materials and intermediate goods, capital goods, foodstuffs and other consumer goods, and technical services mainly from United Arab Emirates, China, South Korea and Turkey.
