Almost for 9 months we were silent. No news and no activity on this website! The reason was behind a Chinese claim over our all domain names for PIM series by their complaints to the Iranian Justice system. Now, eventually we have started our cyber activities simultaneously with the Iranian New Year of 1402. You may read briefing after this short prelude.
*****************************
About three years ago, a Chinese media claimed for ownership of PIM series’ domains of Plastics Industry Magazine websites. The so called Chinese company had registered all our domains in Chinese language in China having international validity. The mentioned company apparently (based on our later findings) had an alliance with the company that had a long term agreement with the CEO of PIM series for global marketing of all PIM publications including advertisements. Also they had stopped payments for already published advertisements with the excuse of sanctions and unilaterally dismissed our bilateral agreement valid till March 2024.
Having noticed the high financial volume of the contracts of Persian and International PIM websites, they decided to create a parallel digital media. This company published its weekly digital magazine after filing a complaint against us in a court in Iran. These lawsuits went on, until on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, the court ruled out for suspension of PIM websites. There was no choice but to obey. Although we had fought for about 2 years, but we had to obey the ruling of the court’s first instance. Of course, with the right to appeal the decision. The next day, an incident basically determined our path. While we were preparing a text for a temporary farewell, suddenly we received the death news of one of the purest people within the plastics industry; Mr. Mohammad Reza Mounsan. Due to the very sad news of a very pure and close friend of the owner of PIM Series, PIMW published its last news on Thur. June 20th, 2021 and then stopped cyber activities waiting for the result of appealing. In fact, receiving that news, made the director of the PIM’s Publication emotionally affected, in a way that he suddenly lost his temper and left both PIM’s domestic and international websites’ publication aside. Despite these conditions, the content production team members of “Plastics Industry Magazine” remained active and at the same time waiting for the court’s decision upon our appealing. Our seriousness was up to the extent that we even sent a three-person team to prepare the K 2022 exhibition’s reports. However due to the internet problems in Iran we didn’t have any chance to publish live reports about the event and some political unrest in Iran and internet problems made the work difficult.
Last week, we were notified that the court’s verdict against PIM domains has ended to our success and we can start our activities again. After about 2 years, this is the first article written on this page. We are back and this time with newer team and plans which will write about in near future. We wish you a year full of hope and prosperity.
