Further to previous “PIMI Report” about the Iranian delegation’s participation at an economical conference in Vienna, the outcomes show signing of over $2bn MOU signed between participants from both country’s private sector.
Speaking at the so called Conference, “Christoph Leitl” the president of the “Austrian Federal Economic Chamber” (AFEC) confirmed that: “Mutual trust and confidence play a very important role in forging economic ties between the two countries”
“Despite the delay in holding the political and diplomatic meeting between the two countries’ officials, the large number of the Iranian and Austrian businessmen and traders attending this even [which is being held] in the biggest conference hall of the Austrian Economic Chambers is quite heartwarming.” Leitl added then.
“Christoph Leitl” referring to the importance of economy in fostering bilateral relations, also said: “Economy means respecting, valuing, serving and helping the promotion of peace.”
The president of “AFEC” also confirmed that: “Iran has enormous economic and trade capacities. The AFEC is willing to cooperate with Iran in all economic and industrial fields including manufacturing machinery, transferring modern technologies, raising hygiene standards, improving infrastructures, protecting and preserving the environment, enhancing water management, encouraging tourism as well as holding vocational and technical programs.”.
Other news published about the values of the signed MOU say: “The MoU included eight documents in the fields of automobile, steel, medicine and engineering services.”
The documents were signed in the presence of Iran’s Head of Chamber of Commerce Mohsen Jalalpour and Head of Austria Federal Chamber of Commerce Christophe Leitl.
At part of his addressing speech, Mr. Mohsen Jalalpour said that: “Austria did not support sanctions during Iraq imposed war (1980-1988) on Iran.” Then later he added that: “Austria political status and its relations with Iran could be promoted to billion-euro contracts”
The official also voiced Tehran’s willingness to increase cooperation with Vienna.
