The Italian minister of infrastructure and transport said on Tuesday Iran has major railway, highway and port, and new city construction projects and to accelerate cooperation Italy is ready to transfer advanced technology to that country.
The Italian daily Il Sole in an article titled ‘Competition for Work in New Iran’ on the recent visit of a large Italian delegation to Iran, led jointly by the Italian agriculture minister and infrastructure and transport minister, wrote the visit has been evaluated as ‘quite successful.’
Il Sole has had an interview with the country’s Infrastructure and Transport Minister Graziano Delrio who has said that the volume of infrastructure projects in Iran are huge, which highlights the role that Sache Export Credit Agency and other concerned Italian organizations must play in insuring and facilitating such deals.
‘The list of working opportunities with Iran is quite a long one and needs a thorough survey,’ said Dlerio, adding that the Iranians have always had high trust in Italy.
He expressed delight to have received a proposal from the Iranian transportations and urban development minister for launching a macro-scale modernization project in Iranian industries, adding ‘It is now our turn to show dynamism and enthusiasm for grasping that opportunity.’
Il Sole meanwhile referred to an upcoming visit to Iran by Matteo Renzi, the Italian prime minister within the next two months to meet President Hassan Rouhani, arguing that the visit by the high ranking Italian official is another sign of the two countries’ very high level and comprehensive relations.
