Today the Iranian news agencies published many messages from the Iranian officials on the ocassion of the Christmas. Some of these messages are:
President congratulates world leaders on Christmas
Sending separate messages to the world leaders, President Rouhani prayed to God to bestow peace and security upon the world community in the new Christian year.
President Rouhani hoped that on the threshold of the new Christian year and ‘under teachings of the holy prophet who brought dialogue and understanding among nations, we can witness a world full of stability and security.’
He also wished for ‘an end to the pains of the world nations who are suffering from tyranny, corruption and terrorism.’
President Rouhani prayed for a year full of peace and prosperity for the world nations and their governments.
FM spokesman congratulates Christian fellow citizens on Christmas
‘I am writing to congratulate all Christian countrymen, especially Christian mediapersons on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.’
Iran’s Christian community has lived together peacefully with other Muslim fellow citizens as well as followers of other divine religions for centuries and all the Iranians take pride in the honorable coexistence, respect and grandeur, Qasemi said.
Culture minister congratulates Christian counterparts on Christmas
In his message, Salehi Amiri expressed hope that world people will witness a more secure world in the New Year.
Jesus Christ has been referred to as the ‘Soul of God’ in the Devine book of Muslims and even a Sura in the holy Quran has been named after his mother, Mary, which indicates cultural commonalities, the minister said.
Salehi Amiri said that today’s world needs more than ever to make use of the teachings of the holy prophets to invite the people to peace and friendship and kindness.
‘Unfortunately, in the most troubled world of the day, violence and extremism have given an ugly image to human life, which terrorist groups attribute it to religion to justify their inhumane acts,’ he said.
All divine religions, including Islam advocate ethics, peace and peaceful co-existence of all human beings, he said.
He said that Iranian Christians have longstanding record of peaceful co-existence with other Iranians in the country.
Intelligence Minister congratulates Christian fellow citizens on Christmas
In his message, Alavi congratulated all Christian fellow citizens and other followers of the prophet of peace and friendship around the world on birthday of the divine prophet.
He wished good health and prosperity for the Christians in the new year of 2017.
