An Italian Economic Delegation Due in Tehran

In a joint meeting, here in Tehran organized on a Friday Holiday at the Iran “Trade Promotion Organization” (TPO) Headquarter, The Italian Ambassador to Iran Mr. “Mauro Conciatori” said that “Major Italian companies have voiced readiness to make investment in diverse infrastructural, economical and industrial sectors in Iran”.
“Mauro Conciatori” made the remarks at a meeting with DM of “IMT” Ministry – Valiolah Afkhami-Raad (Left Photo)- being at the position of heading “TPO” and informed the meeting audience that: “An Italian economic delegation is due in Tehran on April 12 to clinch a number of economic deals with Iranian companies in various sectors”.
“Mauro” added: Italy is to give a clear message to the world that they have entered into executive phase of joint economic cooperation with Iran”.
Representatives of the Italian insurance companies and banking sectors will visit Iran with a full command on current projects of Iran, as Italy impatiently waits to start business cooperation with the Iranian companies as soon as possible”
On his part, “Afkhami-Raad” said: “TPO spares no effort to broaden economic cooperation between Iran and Italy, and on this issue, Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines can play a very positive role in establishing economic relations with Italian companies during their presence in Iran”. And added: “Iran backs the active role of the private sectors in broadening economic cooperation inside the country”
This event happened few hours after docking of the first Iranian flagged ship in an Italian port, after release of sanctions.
According to the short news, wired by Mr. “Claudio Celata” (the Volunteer PIMI Italian Correspondent):
Early morning – on Friday, April 8 – in the port of Genoa, the first Iranian flagged container ship docked in Italy, after the end of the embargo. It’s called Azargoun, built in 2003 is 197 meters long and 30 wide. In the port of Genoa will 286 movements between empty containers landed and full boarded.
