According to the news sources and claims, almost simultaneous with the “Day of Pen” in Iran, the biggest scientific /social Book Garden (as it is named) was inaugurated by the Municipal of Tehran.
This very huge book city has been built in an area of about 110.000sqm in the heart of the north of Tehran (Abbas-Abad Lands). The Book Garden, according to the Fars news agency, is facilitated with different halls with different applications.
Green areas for family leisure hours, Kids Science Hall, Children Science Hall, Youth Science Hall, Book Ship, Visualization and Portrayal Hall, Kingdom(Shah Nameh written by Ferdowsi), Face maker station, Theaters, Cinemas and Conference halls, and Digital Libraries are parts of this huge project of the Tehran’s Municipality.
One of the main goals of the project is to move the “International Book Fair” from the other places in Tehran to this area. Of course the other main target of the Book Garden is to provide accessibility of foreigners to the books and documents related to the Islamic Revolution.
Due to serious conflicts and disputes between the Government and the present Municipal of Tehran (M.R.Ghalibaf the rival candidate of President Rouhani during last two elections) this huge project was inaugurated by the Municipal and the head of the Iranian Parliament (Mr. Ali Larijani) who are in the same principle track.
The Book Graden as already stated is located at the hear of the North on Tehran Between 4 main highways of the capital Tehran
To have an imagine for those readers who have had the occasion to have a trip to Tehran the following route map show the pass way of someone from Parsian Azadi Hotel to the area, that is about 14km.
It is said that the Book Gargden will be working round the clock and will serve the applicants in 24 hours.
