CHINAPLAS breaks attendance record with 155,258 visitors: With an additional 16,365 visitors on the last day, CHINAPLAS 2017 drew down its curtain on May 19 with a record attendance of 155,258, announced the organizer, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.
Compared with last year’s show in Shanghai, the number of visitors rose 4.5%. In addition, it was a staggering increase of 21.05% versus the last edition in Guangzhou in 2015.
According to the organizer, over 40 new products made its debut at CHINAPLAS 2017.
For example, DuPont Performance Materials introduced Zytel HTN high performance polyamide (PA) and Hytrel high performance polyester elastomer for the performance-driven laptop computer market to realize “Thinner, Lighter, Tougher” design.
With a focus on sustainable development, Eastman Chemical Company rolled out Eastman TRĒVA, a 50% bio-based engineering plastics that promise the same high performance as its petroleum-based counterpart.
On the machinery side, KraussMaffei premiered its new all-electric PX series, which features a wide combination of all-electric injection molding technology to choose from thanks to its modularity. The selection includes enlarged platens, faster injection speeds and even the option for operation using food-grade NSF H1 lubricants. The wide selection of clamping unit and injection unit combinations is also a unique feature in the Chinese market.
CHINAPLAS 2017 gathered 3,485 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions. Apart from a full array of advanced plastics technology showcase, three concurrent events, 2nd Industry 4.0 Conference, 3rd Medical Plastics Conference and Design x Innovation were well received by the visitors as all three events were fully occupied.
Next year, CHINAPLAS will be moving to a new venue – National Exhibition and Convention Center in Hongqiao, Shanghai from April 24-27.
