In a move to advance its position in rigid barrier packaging, Paccor has acquired the majority stake in EDV Packaging. EDV manufactures rigid barrier packaging for food, such as sheets and thermoformed containers for ready-meals or fruit and coffee capsules made from polypropylene.

The German plastic packaging producer is looking to further its long-term growth strategy within and outside Europe, and Paccor CEO Andreas Schütte says EDV has achieved very impressive growth and profitability over the past years. With the acquisition, Paccor will also gain entry into the European coffee capsules market.
EDV Packaging was founded in 1972 and is managed by the Pursals family. Over the decades, the Spanish manufacturer has witnessed its growth in Europe and other markets such as in Asia. EDV claims to be the global leader in food protection packaging.
Paccor is owned by private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg (New York, New York / USA; www.lindsaygoldbergllc.com). The US company bought Coveris (Vienna / Austria) rigid packaging division in summer 2018 and renamed the company Paccor. (Click Here).
