LANXESS: Range of hydrolysis stabilisers is extended / Ease in processing without preheating
The company has developed the material to address the trend towards customised antihydrolysis agents that are tailor-made for use in individual applications and provide improved stabilisation performance, toxicology, emissions and handling.
The additive improves performance when used in PET and PBT as well as in TPEs. In particular its use in PLA leads to an extension in the service life of parts and components operating in moist and warm conditions. It is supplied in pellet form or as an easy-flowing powder.
It can be easily processed as it does not have to be pre-heated in the production process, has a softening point of 80 °C and is easy to meter uniformly. Typical applications include monofilaments for paper machine screens, cable sheathing, engineering injection mouldings and electronic housings.
