DAVIS-STANDARD: Extrusion machinery provider extends its rebuilding and servicing offer in Europe
Extrusion technology and machinery supplier Davis-Standard (Pawcatuck, Connecticut / USA; www.davis-standard.com) will start offering blown film die rebuild and cleaning services at its UK subsidiary, located in Brierley Hill, from 1 August 2016 onwards. The service will be available for all blown film dies from Davis-Standard product lines and its heritage brands, including Gloucester Engineering, acquired in September last year (see Plasteurope.com of 09.09.2015). The company also said it would consider brands that are not its own on a case-by-case basis.
The new service is located in a dedicated area of the Brierley Hill site, which was renamed earlier this year to better reflect its global market position and activities (see Plasteurope.com of 05.05.2016). In addition to off-site support, Davis-Standard said its technicians would also be available for on-site service. The support extends to parts replacement and help, complete rebuilds for gearboxes and extruders, as well as control upgrades and drive conversions, among others.
