Fire Retardant EPS in the Polymer Market for the First Time: After a test run of Fire Retardant (FR) Expandable Polystyrene (FREPS) in Iran in Jan 2017, today for the first time many grades of these materials were exposed at the “IME” together with some traditional polymers with a longer history of production and sale in the Iranian markets.
Today May 14th., for the first practical and pragmatical time several grades of fire retardant expandable polystyrenes, made by absolutely private Iranian companies, exposed for brokers at the “IME” hall in Tehran. Use of FREPS is now part of the Iranian construction standards and obligations. In this regard some investors are eager to invest in production of construction units from FREPS.
The following tables shows today’s deals in some polymers. But, what is important is tomorrow’s offers and supplies for this week’s deals at “IME”. The price of US$ in free market for today Sunday May 14th was 37.590 Rials.
