In the last few days, in the frame of a news (Click Here) we had predicted that after banks and financial institutions, petrochemicals might be another excuse for social unrest.
The same day, in a petrochemical complex at the west region of Iran (the name can’t be disclosed), a number of Iranian workers were involved in fighting and beating of a number of Chinese workers and specialists, and the clashes involved the intervention of the security forces and the police.
Such an unrest could have always been predictable due to the mismanagement of a number of managers who have no expertise in management of these vast industries. But now, due to the high inflation rates, increasing prices of consumer products and upward rate of poverty, various forms of protests and unrest is being observed in the country’s petrochemical complexes. As an example and according to the “naftiha” website there are countable turbulence within the industry. The website writes:

???? Protest and livelihood gathering of workers of the Kermanshah Polymer Petrochemical Company
The workers of the Kermanshah Polymer Petrochemical Complex held a protest rally against their low salaries and benefits on Nov. 28th, 2018. Over the past few days, due to the wrong decision of the company’s executives, 30% of the workers’ salaries were reduced, which caused a psychological shock to one of the debtor workers in the complex. This person suffered a stroke during frequent contacts with the company’s supervisors and managers in protest of his salary reduction.

In another case, an analytical website, claimed that the Isfahan petrochemical complex workers’ protests and retirement demonstrations against the performance of Isfahan Petrochemical Directors are linked to unrest, demonstrations and recent conflicts at the giant “Haft Tappeh” Sugar Cane Complex. This news website writes:

If we want to find the main culprit of near 3 weeks of “Haft Tappeh” Sugar Cane Complex’s employees unrest and strikes, then we should mention the abnormal privatization of the huge companies. Such a great stupidity now is involved the government and of course the staff of the complex.
This is despite the fact that many experts believe that the fate of today’s “Haft Tappeh” Sugar Cane Complex is the story of yesterday’s petrochemical staff in Isfahan. The complex, which was literally the flagship of the petrochemical production units of the country, was transferred to the private sector, so when, after a few years, retirees of the company went to the Petroleum Pension Fund to receive their rewards and pensions, they realized that since the privatization of the management, the employer’s complex did not pay its share to the oil fund, and the result was a wandering of employees who had paid full retirement contributions for all their years of service and work.
On the other hand, some experts expressed concern that in the near future, due to the lack of proper implementation of privatization in the petrochemical industry, the future of today’s “Haft Tappeh” Sugar Cane Complex’s is the future of tomorrow’s staff of other petrochemical complexes and all units that for reasons often due to lack of The presence of an adequately supervision are under threat. manager is at the top.
As the statistics show, the production has dropped by 300,000 tons since last year as the flying CEO has taken over. On the other hand, experts say that in the export sector, due to the fact that Rabiea’s weakness of management of the Trade and Industry Company of the Persian Gulf Holding, exports have also been encountered a lot of problems. Though some people try to naturally demonstrate it as a result of the sanctions. However estimates suggest that the company has lost above 1.5 million US$ only during a month.
