This week, the total trade volume of polymer passed over 50,000 tons
Today is the last day of the official trading of polymers at IME. The passing over of the total trade volume of polymers at the IME (the official and the free market deals) from 50-60 thousands tons in comparison with the last week figures appears to show a promising growth. However, this record can’t be a move towards a market boom. According to the PIMI reporters, despite a rise in the base prices on Sunday, July 7th, the trade volumes on Monday and Tuesday which was more than its previous (about 3,000 tons) plus the unofficial trades resulted in the passing of the total trade volumes above 50,000 tons. In comparison with last week’s total of 40,500 tons, this week’s figure could be somehow hope rising.
In the demand side of the market, also, we were faced with increasing demand. This week, the demand recorded for 71,600 tons, which showed an increase of 14,500 tons over the past week {June 30th). The supplies aso increased this week and the amount of offers raised to 89,000 tons which wa 3,700 tons more than last week.
It seems that the rising trend of the official value of US$, has been the main concern of the suppliers of free market and large producers and the main reason for increasing the volume of demands and trades.
