Woven PP sack specialist BSW Machinery (www.bsw-machinery.com), the Vienna / Austria based subsidiary of German engineering group Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H, Lengerich; www.wuh-lengerich.de), is to expand its production facility in the Czech Republic following a 20% year-on-year increase in orders in 2015.

W&H said the increase in business indicated recovery in some countries where business climate had previously been affected by political unrest. Other regions remain with problems but provide potential markets in future, the company said.

Production of four or six colour “servoTex” printing machines in 2016 will double compared to 2014 and output of sub-assemblies for the W&H “converTex” PP sack bottomer has increased. The company has also introduced a 65g woven PP sack, used as flexible packaging for cement and providing a 15g material saving over the standard 80g sack.
