Today, on Sunday, February 3rd, the PDID office of NPC has announced its new base prices for the next two weeks because of the next week’s national holidays.

Today, the US$ value for discovering the base rates of polymers was 82,928 Rials, which was only 0.4% higher than last week’s price. However, if the average weekly exchange value of a dollar was to be considered as a formula basis, as has been explained before, there has been a 6.5% increase in the price of the dollar, which should have caused a leap of prices. But and because of that the PDID office once again didn’t respect its formula in order to keep the last 3 weeks’ boom in the volume trading of the deals at the IME. However, the prices increased, though, this increase was not so significant at all. This increase does not seem to be very effective on demands.
Market incremental side:
The GPPS 1540 experienced a 2.8% rise in price over the past weekend price, with a price of 98,341 Rials/Kg. which made it the title of the highest base price increase.
After it, the second highest price growth was achieved for EPS 200, 300 and 400. Their prices increased by 2.2% compared to last week at their base prices, resulting in an increase of 2,000 Rls./Kg. The third commodity this week with higher increased price were the PET groups of materials which scored 1.5% increase in the base prices. This 1.5% increase in PET bottle grade resulted in a rise in prices by Rials/Kg. in different grades. The most expensive PET bottle grade, the BG821 grade was Shahid Tondoogan Petrochemical, with a base price of 111,109 Rials/Kg. A large number of polymeric products and grades faced with increased prices just as much as the rise in dollar prices. , with their base prices rising. In other words, it was only 0.4% higher than last week.
