Iran welcomes foreign investors. This is the clear message of the Iranian Minister of “Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare” during his visit to Singapore.

According to the news published by the two countries’ media, “Ali Rabiei” the Minister of “Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare” said on Wednesday that grounds are now well prepared for active presence of foreign investors as well as Singaporean businessmen in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Rabiei made the remarks while touring a big complex at Singapore port.
Removal of economic sanctions and implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) have provided a suitable opportunity for investments in development projects in Iran, the minister said.
Rabiei leading a delegation comprising top commercial managers is now touring South-East Asia. The Iranian delegation on Wednesday visited a big port in Singapore and got acquainted with its activities. The visit takes place upon invitation extended by the head of Singapore port.
New situation has provided a suitable opportunity for foreign investors to invest in Iran’s development projects, the minister said.
Construction of hotels and implementation of infrastructure projects are appealing to foreign investors, he said. The Head of Singapore port complex voiced readiness to broaden cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Singapore port has seven terminals for loading and offloading containers with the capacity of 40 million containers.
Some 60 big cargo ships can berth at the Singapore port simultaneously and about 91,000 containers are displaced daily.
