The official said the output was achieved despite the fact that many of the complexes were undergoing majour repairs during the period ended on September 22.
Among the plants that overhauled during this period one may point to: Maroon, The third methanol and urea units of Shiraz Petrochemical Plant, Methanol Production Unit of Fanavaran, Khark Petrochemical Plant, and the second methanol unit of Zagros Petrochemical plants along with Aryasassol and Pars Petrochemical Plant, he said.
“Despite the extensive repairs in the first half of this year, the figures are promising,” Farjepour said. “So far, we have managed to cover nearly 80% of the nominal production capacities, which is a good figure.”
Referring to the fact that production of about 27.5 million tons in the first half of this year showed a 2% year-on-year growth, he, considering that in the second half of the year there will be further majour overhauls, said that; “The output is expected to rise in this period”
