Iran’s Karoon Petrochemical Plant has planned to sent its first petrochemical consignment to Italy soon.
The commercial director of the plant, Kazem Bostakian, has told Shana that the toluene diisocyanate (TDI) consignment of the plant will be sent to Italy presently, saying the deal has been made possible under the auspices of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) implementation.
He said the company has so far reached out for customers in 18 countries in the post-sanctions setting, adding European countries like Greece, Albania, Russia, and Sweden are other destinations of the company in the near future.
Karoon Petrochemical Plant currently supplies petrochemicals to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Greece, Sweden, Armenia, the United Arabic Emirates, Albania, China, Kenya and Nigeria.
Bostakian also added that the company supplies goods to 17 domestic companies as well.
Karoon Petrochemical Plant is a supplier of TDI and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate. The company is operational at 50% of its nameplate capacity.
