Yesterday, Feb. 11th, 2020, when we were discussing the “MUST” or “SHOULD NOT” postpone our event (ConfEx 2020- Iran) with several friends in some corners of the world, we didn’t know that we have to be waiting for other postponement news.
The first news belongs to us. The Secretariat of the event announced a text as a pop-up at the event’s website saying that:
” Since a month ago, several events have changed the safe atmosphere for organization of many gatherings. With respect to the “Confex2020- Iran”, almost all foreign supporters and audience sent a letter of cancellation request and we had to be positive with their request.
In this regard we regret to inform you that, the “ConfEx 2020 – Iran” is postponed and the new date will be announced in near future.
We regret that due to cancellation of many flights to Iran and epidemic of the Corona Virus we had to think more about the safety of our national and international audience, supporters and speakers.
The new date will be announced after our country comes to a normal situation.”
At almost the same time we received the same announcement from IPF of Bangladesh, saying:
Dear Exhibitors and Visitors
We regret to inform you that IPF 2020 has been postponed due to the Coronavirus.
World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Coronavirus outbreak as a global health emergency.
Health and safety is always the priority concern for all our events.
Furthermore, we have decided to re-schedule IPF 2020 from 12th – 15th February to 4th -7th, June at the same venue ICCB in Bangladesh.
We thank you for your great support and understanding, and see you in June.
These two news coming after the postponement of the CHINAPLAS 2020, may be an alert for further notices about the victimization of important exhibitions and conferences.
