SYMPHONY: Pakistan International Airways agrees to use “d2w technology in its plastic packaging / Business Dynamics signs deal to introduce oxo-biodegradable bags
PIA is the first airline to convert all of its flexible plastics to “d2w oxo-biodegradable technology and can now be certified as a green company in Pakistan by the country’s Environmental Protection Agency as a zero pollution airline. In 2013, the country’s national assembly passed a resolution to ban conventional plastic shopping bags – see Plasteurope.com of 07.02.2013.
Symphony chief executive Michael Laurier said: “We are delighted that PIA have chosen to use d2w oxo-biodegradable plastic technology in their commitment to help protect the environment from accidental littering of plastic, and congratulate them in leading by example.
