Deputy director of Marun Petrochemical Company, pointing to the launch of the first row of the Marun Petrochemical Compounds, announced that by the end of this year, utilizing the remaining three rows, a total of 60,000 tons of polymer compounds could be produced in Iran.
Engineer Mohammad Mehdi Gorji, in a conversation with NIPNA’s correspondent about exploiting the new compound project of the Iran’s petrochemical industry, said: In the current situation, the first stage of the Marun Petrochemical Compound Project, with a production capacity of 15,000 tons, is in operation.
Deputy director of the Marun Petrochemical Company, announcing that the new compound project of the petrochemical complex has a capacity of 60,000 tons per year in four rows, said: “This new compound plant has the ability to make polyethylene, polypropylene and polyamide compounds.” And the goal is to complete the value chain in the Iranian petrochemical industry.
He emphasized that with the advancement of technology, the production of products such as ethylene and polyethylene is now considered to be a crude product, according to which the design and construction of the new compounding projects in the world’s petrochemical industry has flourished.
Gorji has said that since the launch of the first stage of the Marun Petrochemical Compounds, the production of more than 5,000 tons of products has already been completed, adding that, with the stabilization of the conditions of production after the supply of additional petrochemical industries, production of surplus petrochemicals will be extended to export to various countries such as Turkey and Europe
Deputy Manager of the Marun Petrochemical Industries, emphesizing that: “The volume of investment in the design and construction of the Marunn Petrochemical Compound plan was estimated at around 15 million euros, and stated: According to the remaining three-row timetable, the Marun Petrochemical Component Plan, by the end of this year, will be in productivity phase.
At the end, he pointed out: “Part of the machinery this Compound production plan has been purchased from a reputable Italian company.”
Meanwhile, Marzieh Shahdai, director of the National Petrochemical Company, recently noted the latest state of the compilation of the Marun Petrochemical Compound Plan: by exploiting this compounds and other similar projects in the development of complementary petrochemical industries and the completion of value chains in the Iran petrochemical industry, will happen.
