The following report has been sent by “PIMI Russian Correspondent“. The report says:
According to the published data of “Russian Federal State Statistics Service“, total production of polymers in February has made 651 thousand tons. The increase for the beginning of 2016 by the similar period of 2015 has made 3,1%.
Polyethylene (PE) at the beginning of 2016 345 thousand tons has been let out that is 11,3% more than an indicator of last year.
The gain of the production of polypropylene (PP) in the reporting period has made 8,6% in relation to a last year’s indicator. In total since the beginning of year 252 thousand tons of polypropylene has been let out.
The Styrene Polymers (SP) at the beginning of a year 90,8 thousand tons have been let out that is 1,7% more, than at the beginning of 2015.
Polyamide (PA) since the beginning of 2016 24,2 thousand tons are acquired. The gain to indicators of the similar period of 2015 has made 2,4%.
Production of Polycarbonate (PC), simple and difficult polyesters, the alkyd and epoxy resins in the reporting period has made 103,3 thousand tons. It is 6,9% more, than at the beginning of 2015.

Decrease in operational performance in the sphere of polymers has concerned only polymers of vinyl chloride (PVC). In total for the beginning of the current year 147,1 thousand tons of PVC are let out. This decrease by 6,5% in comparison with a last year’s indicator is connected with compelled stop of one of the greatest producers of PVC raw materials in Russia “Sayanskkhimplast”.

About “Russian Federal State Statistics Service”
Goskomstat , or, in English, the State Committee for Statistics) was the centralised agency dealing with statistics in the Soviet Union. Goskomstat was created in 1987 to replace the Central Statistical Administration, while maintaining the same basic functions in the collection, analysis, publication and distribution of state statistics, including economic, social, and population statistics. This renaming amounted to a formal demotion of the status of the agency.
In addition to overseeing the collection and evaluation of state statistics, Goskomstat (and its predecessors) was responsible for planning and carrying out the population and housing censuses. It carried out seven such censuses, in 1926, 1937, 1939, 1959, 1970, 1980, and 1989.
House No. 39, on Ulitsa Myasnitskaya, Tsentrosoyuz building, home to Goskomstat, was designed by the Swiss-born architect, Le Corbusier.
