PSMA Rus will localize plastics supplies: A cooperation Agreement between PSMA Rus (Peugeot Citroёn Mitsubishi Automobiles) and Research and Production Company POLYPLASTIC – represented by Trading House POLYPLASTIC – was signed on 31 January in Kaluga, at PSMA Rus plant. Agreement signed attends to polymer composite materials supplies – a substitution of imported materials, utilized in the production of Peugeot and Citroёn vehicles, with materials from the local producer, and furthers cooperation on development of new types of plastics for the industrial appliance.
Considering the 15 brands of materials that have been supplied to the auto company and future perspectives this Agreement avails, PSMA Rus will be able to localize up to 80% of its raw materials purchases. These materials are utilized in the production of automotive plastic parts such as underhood parts, interior elements (door panels, dashboard), and exterior (bumpers, lockers).
Representatives from Kaluga authorities attended the ceremonial event alongside with PSAM suppliers: AD Plastic Company, Magna Automotive Rus Company, Faurecia Automotive Development and Eurostyle Systems Klin Rus. These companies act as processors of R&P POLYPLASTIC composite materials, as a result, they produce details for Peugeot and Citroёn assembly line.
Materials supplied by POLYPLASTIC are being applied in the mass production of underhood parts for the Peugeot 408 and Citroёn C4 Sedan models from the fourth quarter of 2016. Agreement signed will increase the capacities of supplies and broaden the scope of material brands as for previously mentioned models and for future models.

We will not stop with localizing our first tier comply only but will go further. Our goal is to localize the whole train of production up to raw materials. Plastics localization we have achieved with the Research and Production Company POLYPLASTIC proves progress in fulfilling our goals.”
According to Andrey Menshov – R&P POLYPLASTIC managing partner, the Agreement will solidify the company’s position towards its European outreach program ‘Export rush’: “I am sure that this process – 80% of imported plastics substitution with ours, for such a renowned brand as Peugeot-Citroen – will avail R&P POLYPLASTIC to reach the goal set by the government. In as much as import substitution is an important stage in Russia’s economic development and helps include Russia as an equal partner in international economic alliances.”

PSMA Rus
The PSMA Rus plant is located in Kaluzchskaya region – 180 km away from Moscow. Production has been started in 2010. From 2012 the plant has been manufacturing automobiles in full production length including welding, painting and final assembling. The plant has two production lines one for PSA Group sedans (Peugeot 408 and Citroёn C4 Sedan) and one for Mitsubishi Outlander SUVs. Technologies and equipment used by PSMA Rus totally complies with international ecological and technological requirement to companies.
Research and Production Enterprise POLYPLASTIC
A large capacity of the Research and Production Company POLYPLASTIC polymer composite materials production are supplied to the auto industry (more than 35% of total amount). A total of 1500 tons is delivered to the near abroad (Uzbekistan, Kazahstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan) and more than a 1000 tons to enterprises located in Western Europe. The company plans to increase its capacities of external trade to a level of 2/3 of its total production capacities – program “Export rush”. In 2016 the company produced 71 000 tons of polymer composite materials. As of today, the Research and Production enterprise POLYPLASTIC shows an annual turnover of 7 bln rubles. Investments into the auto industry reach 50 mln rubles per year.
