PVC Filament Launched for 3D Printing Market by CHEMSON

PVC Filament Launched for 3D Printing Market by CHEMSON: Austrian additive manufacturer Chemson Polymer-Additive (Arnoldstein; www.chemson.com) has developed what it calls the world’s first PVC filament suitable for the 3D printing market.

The company said it spent more than two years working on the new “3D Vinyl” filament, which can be used without any special modifications or costly upgrades to existing platforms.

The material is UV resistant, waterproof, solvent resistant and Group 1? fire retardant, and is successfully being used to print “industrial calibre, production-grade parts on a rapidly expanding list of 3D printing systems, from standard desktop to professional”, Chemson board member Alexander Hofer added.
