Renolit CEO unanimously re elected as EuPC president
Members of the European Plastics Converters Association (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu) on 3 June unanimously re-elected Michael Kundel as president. The CEO of Renolit (Worms / Germany; www.renolit.com) will serve for another two-year term at the helm of the processors’ umbrella group, which represents more than 50,000 companies and about 1.6m employees.
The vote took place during the association’s annual meeting in Lyon / France, organised by Polymer Comply Europe (PCE, Brussels / Belgium; www.polymercomplyeurope.eu), and which drew more than 120 attendees. At the meeting, Kundel emphasised the need for Europe’s plastics converters to work together to defend their interests, adding that the association will continue to tackle issues like the reduction in EU import duties on polymers (see also Plasteurope.com of 04.05.2016), a competitive market environment and the circular economy.
During the meeting, EuPC also re-elected Aliaxis CEO Frédéric Midy as treasurer and chairman of EuPC’s Building & Construction division. RPC general manager David Baker was voted as new chairman of the association’s Packaging unit, while Plastic Omnium president Claude Clément was elected chairman of the Automotive & Transport division.
