Russia: The prices of Polystyrene have grown
According to the Price Review of ICIS-MRC, last week the new May prices of the Russian Polystyrene (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polystyrene) of production of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” (https://www.nknh.ru/en/) and “Penoplex” (http://www.penoplex.ru/en/) have been declared. So, the prices of all branded range of shock-resistant Polystyrene and Polystyrene of general purpose of production of Nizhnekamskneftekhim on a spot are increased for EUR14 for ton. As well Penoplekx has lifted for EUR14 for ton. The cost of the European brands of Polystyrene for importers in Russia is increased on EUR30 for ton on country border.
European HDPE has fallen in price for CIS countries
May contract price of ethylene in Europe has been coordinated on EUR40 for ton higher than the level of April. Nevertheless, the European producers of the High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) have reduced the export prices of polymer for the markets of the CIS countries. Negotiations of rather export prices of the European Polyethylene (PE) have begun at the beginning of a month, many participants of the market note decrease in the export prices at the European producers of HDPE contrary to growth of cost of ethylene.
