Pietro Piccinetti Director of the Milan International Exhibitions (Fiera Milano International) announced that the first Iranian specialized exhibition is to be held in October, 2016 in Rome, Italy.
“A cooperation agreement has been signed between Fiera Milano International and Iran’s International Exhibitions Company aiming at reinforcing trade and economic information, organizing conferences and seminars in both countries to inform entrepreneurs for creation of joint investment opportunities”
Established in 1920 “Fiera Milano International” is active in 52 countries. The trade meeting between Iran and Italy attended by visiting Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh was held on April 13 in Iran Chamber of Commerce.
Renzi, heading a 250-member political and economic delegation, arrived in Tehran early on April 12.
Iranian and Italian officials inked 7 MOU with IRI and 12 contracts private and state sectors in Iran’s Chamber of Commerce on the issues of oil, railroad, industry, tourism, gas and culture in the first day.
Speaking in the Iran-Italy trade meeting, member of Confindustria Technical Committee for Internationalization and Foreign Investors “Licia Mattioli” said that Italy and Iran were enjoying 7.2 billion euros’ worth of trade exchange before sanctions imposed on Iran adding the figure dropped and reached 1.7 billion euros in sanctions era.
