Not too tired for a short flight from Berlin to Dusseldorf, the PIMI envoy to the K’ preview conference, Dr. Mehdi Sodody (the following photo at the right hand side attended by part of the press team of the K, including the new press officer; Dr. Cornelia Jokisch at his left hand side) is sending his reports and photos as far as his tight agenda allow.
Yesterday June 30th (Click Here) was the day of welcoming of the K press team in Dusseldorf’s airport to about 80 journalists from the world including two from Iran coming from 30 countries of the world, plus hugs and kisses of those who have been there for many periods of this event which was started in 1994 on the occasion of the K’ 95 exhibition. Since then, the CEO of this news channel was always a constant part of the event. This year however, due to about five days of breakdown of the Visa Centre for Germany, Mr. Saatnia decided not to attend the event as a protest to the company which is not at the level of German principals.
However, more than the best envoy was a man who has had a longer history with the German exhibitions. He, as an expert in standard mould parts and introduced companies like NOVAPAX and HASCO in Iran, accepted to replace Mr. Saatnia. Thanks to his devotion of time and energy to the PIMI team. According to his reports:
K-Preview started on Sunday June 30th with a common dinner (photo I by PIMI envoy). The official program also started today with a “round table talk”. (photo II by PIMI envoy). The “talk” was presented by Arne Birken (right). Guests of the discussion were Ulrich Reifenhäuser, Reifenhäuser GmbH & Co. KG (left to right), Oliver Möllenstedt, GKV Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie e.V., Rüdiger Baunemann, Director General PlasticsEurope Deutschland e. V., Boris Engelhard, Wirtschaftsverband der deutschen Kautschukindustrie e.V. and Erhard Wienkamp, Division Director, Messe Düsseldorf.
Ulrich Reifenhäuser (left image courtesy of K Portal) , which hold the first presentation at K Preview focused on his main themes that were functionality, pricing and recycling concerning innovative products. Oliver Möllenstädt, GKV Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie e.V. spoke about his opinion on the hottest topic right now and at K in October 2019: plastics and environment. Dr. Rüdiger Baunemann, PlasticsEurope Deutschland e. V. that is a leading pan-European association and represents plastics manufacturers active in the European plastics industry. Talk about the current situation of the plastics and rubber industry. Also, Boris Engelhardt, DKG, Deutsche Kautschuk-Gesellschaft e. V. told that he is looking forward to open the “Gummistrasse”, the “rubber road” at K in October. DKG will showcase their latest technologies at the event. The first conference opened by Reifenhäuser GmbH & Co. KG and at this stage a team of exerts from Reifenhäuser expressed what they may have new in October for thousands of visitors. (Homepage image)
Day one continued with presentations of the other exhibitors from battenfeld-cincinnati, Sikora and Sumitomo (SHI) Demag.
The day ended with a very friendly dinner party. PIMI will continue its reports about the K show, at we can guess that the visa centre for the German Consulate will impose its unprofessional duty over the number of the Iranian visitors.
