Tehran Rome relations enter new phase
Italian ambassador to Tehran Mauro Conciatori said on Tuesday that implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has led Tehran-Rome relations to a promising period.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Gazvin province Governor General and provincial officials.
Both governments will spare no efforts to broaden relations and cooperation after removal of economic sanctions, he said.
On the upcoming visit of President Hassan Rouhani to Italy, he said this is the first ever visit of the Iranian president after taking the office which could leave positive impacts on broadening of ties and cooperation.
Italian businessmen and investors are ready to develop economic cooperation with their counterparts in Qazvin province, the ambassador said.
He said that the grounds for expansion of cultural, scientific and social cooperation are well prepared, calling for the cities of Qazvin and Perugia of Italy to be pronounced sisterhood.
He said that Italian government is willing to develop industrial, commercial, agricultural, tourism and academic cooperation with Iran.
