ACI’s 2019 European Thermoplastic Compounding Summit will be taking place in Dusseldorf, Germany, on 13th-14th November 2019. The two day event will bring together the key industry stakeholders from the thermoplastic compounding industry, thermoplastic producers, additives and masterbatch suppliers, compounding technology providers, consultants, market analysts and more for two days of in-depth presentations, interactive sessions and fantastic networking opportunities.
The summit will explore the latest uses of thermoplastic compounding and how consumer trends are shaping demand and innovation. The expert speakers will discuss new developments to produce novel properties of polymers such as flame retardance, thermal- and electro-conductivity and their uses in the automotive, industrial and consumer goods industries. Other topical issues being addressed include overcoming supply chain imbalances regarding the availability of raw materials; the potential to recover waste carbon fibres to reinforce thermoplastic; and the potential to use electrically conductive polymer composites to make bipolar plates for large scale fuel cell production.
In line with growing environmental concerns and the subsequent effect on the plastics industry, the conference will analyse the role thermoplastic compounding plays in the Circular Economy and the opportunities for bio-based polymers.
In the view of the organizer, the reasons for attendance include:
- Learn about the latest advancements in thermoplastic compounding and the new properties of polymers being developed
- Engage with the environmental progress being made in the industry and how compounding plays a part in this
- Network with senior representatives from the thermoplastic compounding industry, share ideas and build new business contacts
