Continuing the trend of decreasing the base prices of polymers for the third consecutive week, recorded today, Sunday, Jan 27th, 2019 as the new base prices of polymer materials were announced by PDID Office of NPC till next week.

The interesting point about today’s announcement was that for the third week in a month, the basic price of polymer materials went down in all groups.
According to the PIMW, by taking a look at the fall in the group’s base prices of polymer materials, it can be seen that this decline was due to a 5% decline in the value of US$, which is considered to be the discovery rate of the base prices for today. The US$ base rate decreased by Rls. 4,340 in comparison with last week and reached to to Rls. 82,599 82599.
Highest decreases
Highest reduction recorded for bright SBR 1502. The polymer product fell by 7.2% with respect to its base price in last week, reaching to Rls. 111,059/Kg.
Two injection and rotational grades of HDPE recorded a 6.1% drop in price for last week and ranked second among the others. Rotational HDPE with a decrease of 6.1% was cheaper by about Rls. 5,000/Kg. per kilogram, and heavy-duty polyethylene injected more than 480 reaching to Rls. 74,175, and, the HDPE injection grade dropped by 5.6% drop as the third polymer.
The film grade of HDPE with 5.6% decrease in price was the third polymer with the highest price decrease. This polymer with Rls. 4,670 decrease in price reached to the final price of Rls. 79,452
The HDPE blowing grade with 5.5%, with a very slight difference to the HDPE film, was in the fourth place in the polymeric product, with the highest price drop.
