The Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said: “Petrochemical complexes are allowed to export only after the domestic demand is fully met.”
On Tue. Jan. 22nd, at a joint meeting with the leaders of the downstream industries of petrochemical industries, organizations and associations held at the presence of the head of the PDID office of NPC, Behzad Mohammadi, director of NPC, emphasizing on the support of NPC from converting companies and factories, said: “The cooperation, negotiation and dialogues between assemblies and association with NPC, petrochemical holdings and petrochemical complexes can lead to the sustainable supply of downstream industries. The meeting of NPC and the organizations of downstream industries was held while representatives of the public and specialty media were not present at the meeting.
Further, Mr. Mohammadi while pointed that: “We are trying to minimize the challenges and problems of the converting industries” also added: “Investigating and analyzing the challenges and problems can improve the production process in downstream industries and facilitate the path for production boom”.
Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Managing Director of NPC continued: “Evolution of the value chain and reducing crude oil sales is an important strategy in the Iranian petrochemical industry and therefore downstream industries can play a role in exporting finished products in addition to meeting domestic demand”.
Later he continued by saying that: “We are looking for effective assistance to downstream industries and hope to increase the production of various polymeric and chemical products in collaboration with associations and organizations.”
Mohammadi pointed to the necessity of supplying quality products from petrochemical complexes to complementary industries as an important necessity and said that purchasing high quality product is the right of buyers.
The director of the NPC continued: “In regards with the “Behinyab System” as well as some problems that the downstream industries are facing with, in the stock exchange to purchase their required products, the necessary follow-up will be carried out by the PDID Office.” He also said that: “In the next year with utilization of the Hegmatane Petrochemical complex the production of medical grade of PVC will begin in Iran.
Behzad Mohammadi added: “According to the existing plans, we hope Hegmatane Petrochemical, a manufacturer of the medical grade of PVC that could be used in medical services and pharmaceutical industries will be productive as soon as possible.and the complex Joins to the country’s petrochemical complexes.
At this meeting, directors of downstream industries’ associations and assemblies discussed their challenges and problems in a variety of fields with the Deputy Minister of Petroleum.
