According to “SHANA“, the first conference from the “Value Chain” series of conferences will focus on Poly-Ethylene. The conference was expected to be held on June 8-9 2020, and postponed due to COVID-19, will be held on Oct. 4-5 2020 at the premises of IRIB International Conference Centre (IICC). PE Value Chain Conference will be organized by IICIC under the license and supervision of NPC.
Since the first conference of this series will be held under the shadow of COVID-19 pandemic, also it has been shifted to another date, so under the new decisions it is expected that if the public limitations and gatherings will continue till October, then it will be held via a webinar.
The PE Value Chain conference is organized to cover 6 topics including; Domestic, regional and international markets; Introducing the technical and converting industries’ chains; The competitive Iranian privileges, Consideration of the converting industries and its drives; And consideration of the investment opportunities and its challenges.
At the present situation, Iran is producing about 8.2 MT of polymers out of which about 60% of it belongs to diverse PE grades including LLDPE, HDPE for injection and extrusion, LDPE for the same purposes and rotational grade.
Out of 4.8 MT of polyethylene produced in Iran a share of about 45% belongs to the HDPE grades as the most wanted material. The PE production share of Iran in the region is about 20% that is abut 4% of the world’s production.
This series of conferences which is expected to be organized for PP, PVC and PET. All the conferences will be organized by IICIC that is one of the most famous conference organizing in Iran.
