From April 2019, the PIMI policy for related news to the Iran Mercantile Exchange has been changed positively in favour of the readers. The main changes are:

1- Since this week, in order to make it easier for those who are interested to follow the price changes in the Iranian polymer and other materials that are legally forced to be sold at the IME hall, we will re-publish the last week’s prices after the current week’s prices;

2- PIMI will add a new page for all price tables for each 6 months of the Iranian year. This will also makes it easier for the pricing followers. The link of the page is published every week at the end of the article;

3- Another page yet to be completed at the end of May 2019, will publish all related links to every single data that the followers of the Iranian material market need to have it handy and ready. for this page, we will have a small banner at the top of the right column of PIMI home page.

Item 1 will be free of charge till the further notice and items 2 and 3 will be readable only for paid subscribers.

Today, Sunday, April 7th, 2019, the PDID Office of NPC announced the new base prices of the commodities and other petrochemicals for a week till April 14th.

According to the news by the public relations office of NPC the US$ value rate rose by about 1% compared to the last two weeks of price announcements. This value rising was about Rials 77 that reached the official exchange value of US$ to 90,662.
On the other hand, at this week’s price announcement, the average of the world prices also affected base prices (something that was neglected by last two weeks) and so the US$ value was not the only manipulator of the price changes.
According to all of the above factors, this week’s rices were at the incremental side, even the amount of price increase was not so high or considerable.
The highest price increase recorded for HDPE extrusion grade of PE 100 by an increase of 3.15% over the last tow two weeks. This price increase resulted in the official price of this commodity reaching to Rials 96,049/Kg.  PP fibre grade was the 2nd affected material in price increase by an increase of 1.5%.

One of the itersting and wondering look-ups is the total number of bids that happened during the last week (March 30th-April 5th). Of course it has been a non-written convention that due to long holidays of each new Iranian years most factories are closed and the businesses are run at lowest possible profile, but this year, the record of only 64 times bids has been the lowest for several years. Some analytical staffs consider the vast flooding through the country could have been another reason for such a low profile materials trading.

All prices are in Iranian Rials based on the US$ value of 1 US$= Rials 90,662, which is Rls. 79 more than the last price evaluation of the first week of 1398 (March 23rd- March 29th.)
