Based of the promise of the PDID Office of NPC last Monday on March 25th, 2019, the new base prices for polymers and other chemical products were announced.

This is the first announcement of new base prices in the new Iranian year of 1398. According to the PIM, the new prices are announced only with regard to the average weekly US$ exchange value at the “NIMA” system. Of course, there are some uncertainties about the weekly average price of the US$, including the fact that the price of the NIMA system was not set today for the time being.
However, the PDID Office calculated the base rate of one US$ for Rials 90.565 as the discovery value of the US$ for this week’s prices.
Determining the US$ average value as the sole price discovery is a new criterion that has allowed all the prices to be totally above 2%, and about 2.17% decrease as compared to the last announcement of base prices in 1397. This criterion resulted in fallen base.This fall in prices will certainly boost trading volumes in the coming days.These prices will be valid for almost two weeks, until April 8th for trades on stock exchanges.
As a new experience during the week between March 16th-22nd there was not even a single bid or material offering at the IME, so the new year’s table of trading belongs to last week (March 23-29th).

The following table shows the total trade figures of polymers for the last week (March 23rd. – March 29th.) at the IME hall in 87 times of deals (The least ever). All prices are in Iranian Rials based on the US$ value 1 US$= Rials 90,565, which is Rls. 2.011 less than the last price evaluation in 1397.
