Today, several Iranian media reported on a fraud case of a cooperative company in the Alborz province. This cooperative has purchased polymer and chemical materials from stock exchange for its members, but instead of distribution of these materials to members, it has illegally sold the materials to black market due to to a huge benefit for management board becuase of a great difference in prices between the quota market and the black market.
According to the Plastic Industry Magazine, Ali Akbar Mokhtari, director general of the Alborz province Governor’s Office of Sanctions, told reporters on Saturday that the cooperative has sold the state-owned petrochemicals with official prices to the black market.
He said: “that the management board of the cooperative have committed an offense, in spite of their obligations to affiliated companies.”
The Director General of the Alborz province Governor’s Office of Sanctions added: “The petrochemical cooperative has committed a violation of about 680 billion Rials or 68 billion Toomans.”
He noted that the violation case of the Petrochemical Co-operation Company is under investigation at the Seventh Branch of the Alborz province Governor’s Sanctions.
Since last year, the Alborz province General Director has identified a large number of offenders who have been involved in the case of the offenses in material distribution.
A few months ago, at the same time as the arrests made at the Tehran Plastic Union, a number of news releases were issued under the heading “Disbandment of unauthorized sales of petrochemicals by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officers ,” and now a news release about the prosecution of offenders in the petrochemical market, followed by News is normal.
In this particular case, the Alborz Province Attorney General has not yet published more news and it is unclear whether only the members of the board of directors (or some of its board members) have been involved in this violation, or some other members are also involved in this affair. the Plastic Industry Magazine does not comment on this until further information is received.
