Today, Monday July 29th 2019, only near 32,000 tons of materials offered to those who had registered at the IME. Out of what was supplied more than 72% went to the trade volume records. However, this rate, even higher than last Monday, doesn’t show a boom in the Iranian plastics converting industries. Because working by these figures and showing it to the semi-economic officials is enough to convince them for what the market is moving toward and base on that, they may decide in this or that way.

According to the PIMI analyst today, the PC units offered only 26,350 tons of diverse polymer materials out of which an amount of a little more than 19,000 tons was traded. Last Monday the same figures were 31,771 and 18,851 tons respectively which gives a S/TV* rate of 1.382 and 1.685 for this and last Monday. However when, for example, the IMT Minister looks at the figure thinks about a positive trend of the industry. Something that PIM Publication Group has been fighting for, during last 3 decades.

Corruption is one of the greatest dangers for the Iranian downstream industries in polymer sector, and though within last few months the Iranian Judicial system has seriously started to fight with it, specially with respect to the tradings in the petrochemical section, but it seems that it is too late and also less effective.

Back to the item, today the IME hall offered about 5,421 tons less materials than last week, and irrespective of some gestures, only 211 tons more materials were purchased meaning a deep recession in the converting industry.
