The PFA welcomes you and appreciates your interest in our industry association.
The Polyurethane Foam Association (PFA) is the trade association of flexible polyurethane foam (FPF) manufacturers and their suppliers. PFA is focused on the education of foam users and allied industries, addressing technology, safety and the responsible environmental and health record of FPF.
The PFA was formed to find and achieve successful solutions to important issues of flammability and fire safety. Together, the members of PFA account for the majority of all domestic FPF production.
THE PFA MISSION
The mission of the Polyurethane Foam Association (PFA) is to educate customers and other groups about flexible polyurethane foam (FPF) and to promote its use in manufactured and industrial products. This includes providing facts on environmental, health and safety issues related to FPF to the membership of PFA, flexible polyurethane foam users, regulatory officials, business leaders and the media. PFA also provides its members and their customers with technical information on the performance of FPF in consumer and industrial products.
MEMBERSHIP IN THE PFA
Three classifications of membership are available:
- Manufacturing Membership – companies that manufacture FPF in U.S. facilities from chemical raw materials.
- Associate/Supplier Membership – companies that supply raw materials, equipment and technology services to FPF manufacturers.
- Federated Membership – FPF manufacturers with production facilities entirely outside the United States.
- Molded Foam Division Members – Are PFA manufacturing and federated members who have interest in advocating issues related to molded flexible polyurethane production, applications, and enviromental, health and safety matters.
