After the signing ceremony of the Italians with the IRI, a scheduled meeting with Ayat. Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani (The head of the Expediency Council) went ahead. Chairman of Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Tuesday called for elimination of roots of terrorism. He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
The international community has a duty to plan elimination of ideological roots of terrorism, he noted.
Ayatollah Rafsanjani stressed that the international community should do its best to restore peace to the war-torn regions.
Iran is ready to help re-construct the war-torn countries including Iraq, Syria and Yemen in coordination with the international community after the violations are halted there, he added.
The senior cleric referred to traditional and cultural ties between Iran and Italy, adding that the two states enjoy good economic ties.
Iran’s economy has high capacities for cooperation with the world in the post-Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA) era, he noted.
Italian prime minister for his part called culture the common point in Iran-Italy ties and called the post-sanctions era a good opportunity for development of Tehran-Rome relations.
Iran’s economy has high capacities for investment and cooperation and the nuclear talks will lead to good positive developments in Iran’s economy, Renzi added.

After this meeting the Italian Premier had an scheduled meeting with the Supreme Leader of IRI. Analysts evaluate this meeting as very important as possible, even details have not been publicized yet.
