No Interlinking Between Trade Ties and Iranian Policies

The Iranian Deputy Minister of Economy “Mohammad Khazaee” has accused the Deputy Minister of Economy for political statement about trade ties with the Iranian Foreign Policy and said that “Iran opposes the occupying regime for the crimes against humanity”.
He, according to media, responded to the statement of “Uhbik Mir” the German DM of Economy and Energy on Wed. May 4th and pointed:
“Although enhancement of economic relations with other countries including Germany is important to Iran, however, it is not more important than the Iranian national religious principles and independence.”
He added: “‘We will never allow any country to interfere in our foreign policy and interlink trade with political issues,”
Khazaee, also head of Iran Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance Organization, noted that:
“Iran tolerated hardships under the sanctions to prove that it never accepts the conditions set by the other countries.”

Mohammad Khazaee is the former Ambassador of Iran to the United Nations. He presented his credentials to the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in July 2007.He was elected as Vice President of the United Nations General Assembly on 14 September 2011.
Government appointments
Prior to receiving his appointment as Permanent Representative, Khazaee held positions in international development financing between 2002 and 2007, serving as both Vice-Minister for International Affairs and President of the Organization for Economic and Technical Assistance in Iran’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. Concurrently, he served as Governor of the OPEC Fund, Vice-Chairman of that organization’s Investment Committee, Alternate Governor for the Islamic Development Bank and a board member of the Iran-Misr (Iran-Egypt) Development Bank. From 1988 to 2002, he represented Iran at the World Bank.
